2010 -13

Elected Hensall parish councillor (Chair 2011-13).

Designed and maintain the (civil) parish website (2010-17)

2010

Launch of Hensall Times magazine. Copies delivered free of charge to every address in Hensall: March, July and November. Part of a larger village archive designed to preserve images, documents and oral histories for future generations

2012

Further development of the village archive, with an increasing number of oral histories, documents and images

2012

Appointed assistant coach: micros (Selby Rugby Union Football Club), moving up each year with the players (including my grandson)

2012

 

Co-ordinator  (until new rector appointed November 2013) of ecclesiastic parish magazine, the Link. This magazine is delivered free of charge every month to 2800 addresses in 10 communities that make up the Parish of Great Snaith.

2013

Begin work on the Hensall history website, driven by the general format of a forthcoming Hensall history book.

First Hensall history meeting attended by around 50 people.

 

2014

Village book (Hensall Then and Now) begins to take shape. Contributions invited from whole village, every address leafleted. Facebook page launched ‘Hensall book project’

2016

Hensall Then and Now published, November 2016
